AMCA Committees

Various committees, as listed below, are formed for the involvement of our member companies in industry-related events.

  • Apprenticeship Committees (one for the Plumbers and one for Sheetmetal Workers) meet on a regular basis to oversee the apprenticeship programs.
  • Code Committee exists to resolve any code issues that may arise related to the industry.
    Education Committee offers continuing education for maintaining the State of Alaska administrative licensing requirements, and other educational opportunities that become available.
  • Legislative Committee brings to the members attention the different legislative actions that affect the industry.
  • Negotiating Committees (two: Plumbers and Sheetmetal) work with both unions on contractor negotiations, as well as settling issues between contract renewal times.
  • Service Committee works with the services related contractors to increase training and improve the Service Industry. 
  • Sheet Metal Industry Committee oversees the Sheet Metal Industry Trust.
  • Plumbing Industry Committee oversees the Plumbers Industry Trust.
  • Health & Welfare Committee.
